Mikasa Sports USA is a sporting goods company providing top of the line balls and equipment for a wide range of sports, including basketball, indoor and beach volleyball, water polo and soccer. They are the official game ball for olympic indoor volleyball, the FIVB and sponsor olympic athletes such as Tony Azevedo and Reid Priddy.
While working at SDA, I have had the privilege to work on many variations of the the Mikasa Sports website — from a full flash website to a MODx-powered site to what you see today.
Today’s version was completely designed and rebuilt from the ground up, putting them on WordPress while using the Woocommerce framework as their e-commerce solution. To bring them up-to-speed with today’s current design trends, we incorporated a background video on the home page and integrated subtle animated effects throughout the website.
